Phenix Technology Inc. is a 51-year-old Riverside-based firefighting equipment manufacturer. Its American Made products are used by firefighters and first responders worldwide. Even after more than 50 years the founder’s vision remains its guiding light – to leave the world a better place. To prove that point Phenix undertook an important workforce initiative called Opportunity for All in support of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. This program goes well beyond recruitment to engage these individuals as part of the Phenix workforce, as well as implementing a work study program.

During an IEGO tour, Phenix CEO Angel Sanchez Jr. shared, “Our objective is to help these individuals with employment that creates independence. We’re looking at this as an opportunity to create true social mobility for a family unit and for a generation.”
